When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication information. As you use LoreTrove, we store the books you add, your ratings, reading dates, tropes, notes, social connections, and chat messages.

We use your information to operate the service, keep your trove in sync, generate recommendations, show release dates, power social features, and improve LoreTrove. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Third-Party Services
LoreTrove uses third-party services to provide book metadata, cover images, and optional import features. These services may process data according to their own privacy policies. Currently integrated services include Google Books and optional Goodreads sync.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We may use analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate, but we do not track individual reading behavior for advertising purposes.
5. Data Sharing
Your profile, reading lists, and activity may be visible to other LoreTrove users based on your settings and the social features you use. Direct messages and private notes are only visible to you and the intended recipients.
6. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data from your settings at any time. Some information may remain in backups for a limited period.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and keep your account credentials safe.
